Binatone Colour Ereader
The Binatone colour ereader - named the Binatone ReadMe Mobile - is more like a hybrid of a tablet PC and an ereader. With an LCD display rather than E-Ink, it provides more than just reading capability.

Binatone have tried to create a device that covers all the bases and ended up with a budget priced model that runs on the Android Operating System and delivers web surfing, email access, and playback of video media via connection to the internet by Wi-Fi. Of course you can download books too.Storage is catered for by an internally available 2GB of memory.

The 7 inch, 800x400 resolution, QWERTY keyboard LCD display doesn't come with a touchscreen, though at around 129 that's something extra that you might not expect anyway. The keyboard at the bottom of the unit is positioned so that it gets used in landscape mode, ..

On drawback Binatone's colour reader is the battery life - the manual indicates this might be as low as 6 hours. That's mainly because the screen delivers fast, full colour graphics which cause it to use power more quickly than a number of its colour ereader rivals.

If you're looking at budget priced colour ereaders, the Binatone is definitely worth considering. Just be aware of that power limitation.
